As you may know, I have been following a meal plan. Unfortunately, the days got a bit mixed up as I got invited to go out to eat on Saturday night when I was supposed to have spaghetti and garlic toast. However, I had spaghetti on Sunday, and now, today, Monday, I will have the burgers. We are behind one day, but that’s okay; life never works perfectly! So tonight, I will have burgers and potato wedges rather than chicken alfredo for supper! Tomorrow night will be chicken alfredo!

Enjoy these pictures of my spaghetti topped with oregano alongside some garlic toast last night! It was delicious!

( Burgers and potato wedges )
Spaghetti and garlic toast

Today’s recipe is burgers and potato wedges; I will teach you how I make burgers. It’s super simple and can be done in under 10 minutes!

Burgers

What you’ll need for the hamburgers:

  • One pound of ground beef, 80/20 lean.
  • One egg.
  • 1/2 of a medium yellow onion.
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs.
  • Two garlic cloves, minced.
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder.
  • 1 tsp of seasoned salt.
  • 2 tsp of onion powder.
  • 1 tsp of olive juice.
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheese, I used Fiesta blend.

Next, you can follow these simple steps:

  1. First, combine all of your ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Next, mash the ingredients together, I used my hand, and it was way easier than a spoon.
  3. Once you have thoroughly combined your meat mixture, you can form hamburgers.
  4. To form hamburgers, I grabbed a bit of the meat mixture, roughly 4 ounces, rolled into a ball, and placed it onto a plate.
  5. Next, take another plate and place it on top of your ball of meat. Press the plate down firmly until you reach the desired thickness of the hamburger. Repeat until you run out of your meat mixture.
  6. You should have roughly 4 to 5 hamburgers now. You can shape them as needed.
  7. You can either freeze or serve immediately betwixt two halves of a bun.

Potato Wedges

For the potato wedges, you’ll need far fewer ingredients; you’ll need:

  • Two medium potatoes.
  • About a Tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Salt.
  • Pepper.
  • Oregano.
  • Garlic powder.
  • Seasoned salt (Lawry’s.)
  • Onion Powder.

You can make the potato wedges in a few short and easy steps; follow the subsequent steps:

  1.  First, if you plan on using your oven, preheat your oven to 400°F or 205°C. Then, chop your potato wedges into eighths by chopping your whole potato into halves. Next, cut those halves into quarters, and finally, cut the quarters into eighths. You should now have wedges.
  2. Once you have made your wedges, it is time to cook them! You can use your oven or air fryer; I chose my air fryer. Place your potato wedges either on a greased baking sheet or in your air fryer basket.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over your potato wedges. Then, sprinkle all of your seasonings on the wedges.
  4. After you have dressed your potato wedges, you can place them in your preheated oven or air fryer.
  5. For your oven, bake at 400°F or 205°C for roughly 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your wedge’s thickness. For your air fryer, preheat it to 400°F or 205°C for around 3 to 4 minutes. Then, cook for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. One way you can tell that your potato wedges have thoroughly cooked is if you can pierce a knife through to the center of the wedge.
  6. Lastly, when you can pierce your knife through effortlessly and your wedges have cooked, you can remove them and serve the wedges with your favored dipping condiment, such as ketchup or ranch!

There you have it, burgers and potato wedges! This recipe is simple, and you can easily adjust it for one or many people!

I look forward to tonight’s recipe; burgers and potato wedges.

Check back tomorrow for tomorrow night’s recipe post, chicken alfredo!
